PlantAI (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.
02Information we collect
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and name. This is stored securely via Supabase, our authentication provider.
Plant Data: Photos you take of your plants, AI-generated health assessments, watering logs, and plant profiles are stored locally on your device using SQLite. Photos remain on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.
Usage Data: We do not collect analytics or usage tracking data.
03How we use your information
Your email and name are used solely for account authentication and personalisation within the app.
Plant photos are sent to OpenRouter's API (using OpenAI's GPT-4o model) for AI analysis. Photos are processed and not stored by us after analysis.
Notification preferences are stored locally on your device.
04Third party services
Supabase — authentication provider. View their privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy.
OpenRouter / OpenAI — AI image analysis. Photos are transmitted securely for processing. View OpenAI's privacy policy at openai.com/privacy.
05Data storage
All plant data, photos, and health history are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to your plant photos or health data.
06Data deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at official.plantai@gmail.com or through the app's Settings screen.
07Children's privacy
PlantAI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
08Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally. We will notify you of significant changes through the app.
